 นายพิษณุ พลธีสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฏร จังหวัดปทุมธานี  เปิดเผยว่า โครงการ “ไทยฟิน อิน คาร์นิวัล ปทุมธานี”  ได้รับการสนับสนุนการจัดงาน จากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย เพื่อสานต่อตามที่รัฐบาลได้จัดทำแนวคิด 4 เสาหลักแห่งการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอาหาร การจัดงานครั้งนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทย การโฆษณาประชาสัมพันธ์แหล่งท่องเที่ยว ของดีของเด่นประจำจังหวัดปทุมธานี การรักษาวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมของอาหาร สร้างสรรค์เมนูใหม่จากวัตถุดิบท้องถิ่น ถือเป็นเอกลักษณ์และภูมิปัญญาของไทย และเป็นการสืบสานอาหารพื้นเมือง เพื่อรักษาวัฒนธรรมอาหารและช่วยกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจการท่องเที่ยวให้เกิดการกระจายรายได้เข้าสู่ชุมชนในอนาคต  เพื่อส่งเสริมและกระตุ้นการท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทย    ประชาสัมพันธ์วิถีชีวิตและอาหารท้องถิ่นให้เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้น   เพื่อสร้างรายได้ให้กับผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยว/ ธุรกิจอาหาร

นายสาคร  อำภิน รองนายกอบจ..ปทุมธานี  เปิดเผยว่า ปัจจุบันอาหารท้องถิ่นที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญาของไทย เริ่มมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง หรือสูญหายไป ตามกาลเวลา จึงควรที่จะรักษาสืบสานอาหารพื้นเมือง เพื่อรักษาวัฒนธรรมอาหาร ตามที่รัฐบาลได้จัดทำแนวคิด 4 เสาหลักแห่งการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอาหาร ซึ่งครอบคลุมไปถึงแหล่งที่มาของวัตถุดิบ การผลิต การใช้ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ไปจนถึงการบริโภค   ผลักดันการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนบนฐานของ การท่องเที่ยว  อนุรักษ์  ส่งเสริมเรื่องราว  และการใช้วัตถุดิบท้องถิ่นเพื่อสร้างโอกาสให้เกิดมรดกทางอาหาร ให้อาหารเป็นสัญลักษณ์ ของจังหวัด  การใช้เสน่ห์เอกลักษณ์ของอาหารไทยที่มีในอดีตที่ผ่านมา นำมาคิดค้น พัฒนาและสร้างสรรค์เมนูอาหารขึ้นใหม่ และมอบเป็นลิขสิทธิ์ของจังหวัดปทุมธานี ส่งผลอันเป็นประโยชน์ในด้านการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจการท่องเที่ยวและการประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัด  โดยการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ จัดขึ้นในรูปแบบการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน วิถีชีวิตแบบไทย ภูมิปัญญา ศิลปวัฒนธรรม นำมาสู่การสร้างรายได้ให้กับชุมชน จังหวัด และภูมิภาคใกล้เคียง  วัฒนธรรมในแต่ละจังหวัดเป็นสิ่งที่ดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้เดินทางสู่ท้องถิ่น ส่งผลให้ก่อเกิดการกระจายรายได้สู่ชุมชน ได้รับการพัฒนาและสร้างชุมชนให้เข้มแข็ง
