เมื่อเวลา02.00น.วันที่ 17 เมษายน2564 พ.ต.ท.พิศิษฐ บุญมีสุข สารวัตรสอบสวน สภ.คลองหลวง รับแจ้งมีอุบัติเหตุรถจยย.บิ๊กไบค์ชนเสาไฟฟ้าแล้วเกิดเพลิงลุกไหม้มีผู้เสียชีวิต ที่เกิดเหตุถนนพหลโยธินขาออกหน้าปั้มน้ำมันเอซโซ่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก ต.คลองหนึ่ง อ.คลองหลวง จ.ปทุมธานี หลังรับแจ้งจึงรุดไปที่เกิดเหตุพร้อมด้วยรถดับเพลิงเทศบาลเมืองคลองหลวง1คัน อาสาสมัครมูลนิธิร่วมกตัญญู แพทย์เวรร.พ.ธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ

ที่เกิดเหตุพบรถจยย.บิ๊กไบค์ยี่ห้อฮอนด้ารุ่นซีบีอาร์650อาร์สีแดงทะเบียน 2ขฐ4929กทม.เกิดเพลิงลุกไหม้อย่างรุนแรงเจ้าหน้าที่ดับเพลิงต้องฉีดน้ำเพื่อสกัดเพลิงโดยใชเวลาประมาณ10นาทีเพลิงจึงสงบตัวรถได้รับความเสียหายทั้งคัน  ห่างจากจุดที่รถเกิดเพลิงไหม้ประมาณ40เมตร บริเวณทางออกปั้มพบร่องรอยจยย.คันดังกล่าวชนเสาไฟฟ้าริมทางบริเวณทางออกปั้มน้ำมันเอซโซ่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกข้างกันยังพบผู้เสียชีวิต1ราย ภายในตัวพบบัตรรักษาของสถานพยาบาลแห่งหนึ่งระบุชื่อนายเจษฎา  อายุ26ปี มีบาดแผลที่ศีรษะและขาทั้งสองข้าง ความแรงของรถทำให้ชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่รถจยย.ช่วงแผงคอหน้าและล้อกระเด็นขาดจากตัวรถพุ่งเข้าไปในร้านรับสอนภาษาจีนจนกระจกแตก ก่อนที่ชุดแผงคอหน้าและล้อจะทะลุผนังกั้นห้องและติดคาอยู่พร้อมชิ้นส่วนรถจยย.กระเด็นกระจัดกระจาย

               นายณัฐนนท์ อายุ24ปี พยานเห็นเหตุการณ์ เปิดเผยว่า ขณะเกิดเหตุรถจยย.คันดังกล่าวได้ขับแซงตนเองไปด้วยความเร็วสูงก่อนที่รถจะเหินบริเวณทางเข้าปั้มซึ่งผิวถนนเป็นเนินเล็กน้อย ก่อนที่รถจยย.ที่มาด้วยความเร็วจะเสียการควบคุมแล้วพุ่งชนเสาไฟฟ้าริมทาง ก่อนที่ตัวรถจะกระเด็นไปไกลลากไปกับถนนจนเกิดเพลิงลุกไหม้ตนเองจึงจอดรถโทรแจ้งตำรวจเพื่อประสานดับเพลิงและกู้ภัย

ด้านพ.ต.ท.พิศิษฐ บุญมีสุข สารวัตรสอบสวน สภ.คลองหลวง เปิดเผยว่า ได้ตรวจสถานที่เกิดเหตุและชุนสูตรพร้อมแพทย์พร้อมสอบปากคำพยานบุคคลไว้เป็นหลักฐานและให้อาสาสมัครมูลนิธิร่วมกตัญญูนำร่างผู้เสียชีวิตส่งรพ.ธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติเพื่อรอญาติรับศพกลับไปบำเพ็ญกุศลทางศาสนาต่อไป
